Re: Need help!
Make sure you take advantage of all the tutorials that are on the vectric website or included with your software. They will help in the learning curve when you find someone to get you off to a start. I've had my machine a 1 1/2 and still watch the videos over again including the new tutorials from v...

These would be great questions to ask on the 3dsign forum. A lot of outdoor sign people over there and someone may have experience with corian and coloring outdoors.

Smaller bit for section of 3d carving
I recall seeing someone say they used a smaller bit to run over just a section of a 3d carving to enhance the detail on a 3d carving. Such as using a 1/8th ball nose for the finish cut and then a 1/16th to add detail to just a section of the carving. I can't seem to find the post. I think it would s...

Tilling question
I'm pushing the envelope (for me anyway) to do a long 3d model (53 inches) on my shark. I was thinking of using the overlap to help with the transition from one tile to the next. Re: New source for Acrylic material.
If I can pump some info from you. What is the thickness of acrylic you are using? What bits, feed rates and router speeds are you using. How deep are you cutting? I promise I will keep this confidential between you and I! Thanks in advance.

Re: looking for Shark owners or users in South Dakota
I'm not far from you. It's not that I don't want to help you out or afraid that you will steal my secrets that I've learned on this forum or others (vectric, cnc zone and yes shopbot forum among others), but here are my suggestions. Print out the manual for v-carve pro, yes its a lot of pages but I f...

Has anyone had any experience with using this site or models received from them. It looks like they have a bigger variety than vectic. The don't sell by each but if you want a lot of models it seems like a bargin.

Re: Going well , but a question
When using multiple tools and changing bits I use the paper method. I use a piece of newspaper and put it under where the bit will touch. I lower the bit until it just catches the paper, when changing the bits I do the same thng. After doing it for a while you get a feel for the pressure when you pu...
