Thanks guy's. Turns out it is a bad controller. I called support and they are exchanging it. There was no resistance at all, guy was very helpful, and said they will exchange same day if they have one in stock. So I'm hoping for the best.

Greetings: I finally got started with my new HD, carved a sign, and the machine stopped working. It was also sending pulses to the router and then stopped that as well. Thanks Eagle55. Much appreciated. I also noticed the pressure nuts were not completely tight, and wondered if they were supposed to be torqued tighter. I'll now tighten them and try your clamp idea. Sounds good.

Router for Shark HD
I just received my shark HD. I ordered the Porter Cable router for it and it seems to me like it's going to take a lot of force to seat it. It slips thru the tightening ring ok, but then stops. Do you have to force it in??.
