Re: V Carve 6.5
I was importing an image and trying to fit vectors to it. It turns out my file extension was a .png file type and the VCarve program would not trace it. My solution was to open the images in microsoft paint and save them as a different file type .bmp. I then brought the new file back in and the prog...

V Carve 6.5
Up until recent updates I could "Fit vectors to bitmap" with no issue. Now It acts like it works but no vectors are created regardless of settings, color or black and white. Anyone else struggling?

DWG Import crash
I'm sure there is a thread already somewhere but has anyone found a repair for Vcarve 6.5 dwg import fatal errors? I refuse to use it without the import ability so my original version is the goto.

Re: lost my x axis
So a follow up from this post 60 years ago... I went back and removed all wiring harnesses for each axis. I then soldered directly to the board(steady hand required). I can honestly say the old Shark pro is dependable now.

Re: DRASTIC Z DEPTHS CHANGES
Glad to hear there was an issue. I was losing my mind and shop time over it. I will look for updates to VCP. Thanks for your reply.

DRASTIC Z DEPTHS CHANGES
4 year Shark Pro user. Haven't seen this one yet. Using the pocket clearing option with a Vbit tool path I notice the depth goes from .045" deep to .100" while running the tap file. I E stop it, then hit return to zero. So no spiral cutter drift. It goes back to my preset zero without any depth chan...

Re: What's the Next Feature You Would Like?
I'm convinced... I tore the controller down and soldered my x stepper leads. The problem persisted. The white flag went up. I even inquired about a new controller. A thought resurfaced from the early stages of this nightmare. "Take a flat head screw driver to each one of your punch down block termin...

Roughin rookie
I'm uncertain about roughing tool paths. Recently I ran the 3d european mount on a sign for a customer and observed how my .125 endmill overtraveled into the antlers instead of climbing up and over. The severity of it was not overwelming with credit going to my dremel tool for fixes but could I have...

Re: What's the Next Feature You Would Like?
I left the same blank on the table re-establishing zero and raising z up clear of the old work piece. I loaded the same program I ran last night while losing the blank. Pressed run and it ran perfectly traveling back to my zero position or home that is. I did nothing besides disassemble the t nut an...

Re: What's the Next Feature You Would Like?
I would like to have an x axis that doesn't "glitch". I'm throwing away a lot of blanks due to this issue. I have sent the controller back once and it was returned with a troubleshooting guide stressing the wire connections. I went further and replaced the existing quick connectors with terminal str...
