Re: Custom CNC Outlet Covers!

For these to fit on the outlet correctly you will need to modify the design in VCP or Aspire slightly. Remove the rest of the raised material on the back side that is around the screw hole so that the entire back side is pocketed away and all on the same plane. Then take a small strip of plastic lam...

New Shark Pro Plus Table Top

I want to share my experience upgrading my Shark Pro Plus table. The factory table was just too flimsy, especially when clamping down heavier pieces of hard woods so I built a new one. This one is 1" thick extrusions each 2" wide. The extrusions are bolted down to a 5/8 x 3/4 aluminum bar that is bo...

Re: New Router Running Hot

Thanks Rick, but I don't think so. I loosened that bolt to the point that the router was loose and it still got hot. Also, I don't think a plastic clamp can squeeze that metal housing cylinder to the point where it would be compressed. I put the old router back in and tighten it the same amount and ...

New Router Running Hot

I have a Pro+ with a 1HP Bosch Colt 2 years old. The bearings started making noise so I replaced it with a new Colt. After shallow V carving 6 minutes, the collet was so hot I burned my fingers when I tried to change the bits. I replaced that new router with another new one and it is doing the same ...

Replacing Shark Table

I am thinking about replacing the 3/4" blue table extrusions on my shark
with 1" thick units. I can get the 3" wide units from 80/20 but cant find any 2-1/4" (2 needed)
for where the Y stepper motor interferes with the bolt arrangement.
Any ideas?

V Carving too Deep

I am using Aspire 4.5 and my drawing appears correct in the preview window. When I carve the project (text and V grooves) they are way too deep. The text isn't readable. I am using a V0 touchplate and safe Z of .25 and b4 I carve I check 2 c if the Z height is .625 on the control panel screen and it...
