V Carve Depth Problem

I am using Aspire 4.5 and trying to V-Carve a project. Material thickness is .75" and when I try to create a V-Carve toolpath I get a message that says "cutting tool will exceed material thickness" material = .75 cutting depth = 3.885. Cribbage Board Oval Patterns

I am using Aspire 4.5 and am trying to create a carving similar to Jim Kragers.
Jim said he used copy object along vector to do this and I have done so but
can't figure out how to group them in 5 columns and get them to align properly like Jim did.
Help Anybody?

Erratic Shark Pro Update

I'm the guy who posted "unstable Shark Pro" a couple weeks ago and wanted to thank everyone who offered advice. I am posting an update here to tell how I think I have resolved the problem. I tried all the things suggested and still had the erratic behavior. In desperation, I changed the feed speed i...

Unstable Shark Pro +

My Pro + is acting strange. During a carve with everything going fine, the router moves unexpectedly to a new position and continues carving, offset from where it is supposed to be. It does this in both X and Y. It doesn't happen during carving every file but chances are that during one of the cuts,...

Re: Carving backwards

After doing some searching on the forum I am seeing that possibly unbolting and reversing the gantry may be the answer.
Anybody know if this is true?

Carving backwards

I switched the control box x & y connectors and went to the control panel and took the minus sign out of the "Y step size in mm" statement.
Now the x and y have been mechanically switched, but its carving artwork upside down and text backwards.
Anybody got any ideas?

Re: Jog moves too slow, too small

I had a similar problem as yours but not so dramatic. Z was o.k but X&Y were 1/2 speed and it was carving 1/2 normal size.
NWA sent me a program that changed the model # of the controller and now it works correctly.

Re: Carving about 1/2 size

Thank u 4D.
I drew it in inches and the post processor I selected is CNC Shark inches. ??? (There are only 2 - inches and mm)
I checked the control panel and it shows my material size in inches and the Gcode is in inches???
