CNC shark laser accessory For Sale

Hi all I have a pretty well brand new laser attachment for sale with all pieces in excellent condx. While it took me a while to figure out how to use it, I discovered after I received it that what I really wanted was a laser engrave / cutter, so I went out and got myself a full size co2 system. I’ve...

Re: Extreme laser woes

Well, I'm finally up and running. I've completed my first laser etching. Next Wave shipped me the broken part and in five minutes I was making the first cut.

Now I have to try a photo, but since Aspire doesn't seem to include the ability to cut a picture, I'm trying to do it with photo v carve.

Re: flashing lights on the controller

Thank you for this - I'd always assumed the red was some kind of error.

Re: Extreme laser woes

Well, I've made some progress. By posting a similar post in the next wave automation forum, I've finally gotten a reply from the company and have been working through the issues. Turns out if you install just the right software and proceed through a very careful sequence, things begin to operate. Wi...

Extreme laser woes

Hi all, I've recently purchased the laser attachment for my HDand I'm having a terrible time of it; to the point where I basically bricked my controller and could not even run normal carving jobs. I use aspire 8.5 and I've noticed that the pp files seem to be piranha centric, which may be contributi...

Control Panel 2.0 - incomplete jobs

I have an "interesting" problem with the virtual zero function. The setup appears fine. The system asks if I wish to load the file with virtual zero, and that appears fine. But, for the life of me, I can't tell if the virtual zero is working or not, because the system stops, and shuts itself down, a...

Re: Memory Issues in Controller ?

Not a large UPS really, an APC 1350. It's more than enough to run the Controller, laptop and the shark HD with a Dewalt Dw616 router. We've had a lot of thunderstorms in the area lately, and a bump in the line causes the cnc to lose it XYZ zero. It's impossible to restart a litho without the proper ...

Re: Memory Issues in Controller ?

Problem solved. It was a simply matter of adding a larger SD. I put in a 16 gig chip. Just finished a litho with almost 2 million lines (54 megs). No problems. As for the possible power loss issue. We have a lot of thunderstorms here lately. I added a UPS to ensure no blips, and now I can run it thr...

Re: Memory Issues in Controller ?

Well, the files are only about 32k each, so I wouldn't,t have suspected a sd card issue, but I'll definitely try a larger card and see where that goes. Thanks for the responses!

Memory Issues in Controller ?

I have been machining lithophones and have run into what seems like memory problems ? My lithos are typically cut with a 1/32 ballnose, and range in size from 5 x 7 to 7 x 9 and 12 x 12. The line number is typically a little over 1,000,000. The latest was 1,150.000. Although the 5 x 7 finishes fine,...
