Are there any bits that would be better for carving in metal? I know that Al is fine for some, but are copper or brass soft enough to cut? On a related note, could I carve into granite with the right bit/settings?

In my original post I laid out what I have tried for tool path. I have a track laid out,but when I select the drill toolpath and autoselect circles of the size I used, then save as G code, it starts at 0,0,0 and moves 100ths of an inch in a line and jogs up and down 100ths but never touches the wood...

I have been working on the layout for a board as well. We play a lot of cribbage on submarines and my wife has learned too. It is my first cnc project (Pro plus that I got cheap off of a coworker who upgraded). Which toolpath works best to drill the holes? I tried using a 1/16th straight bit with .2...
