I am convinced the line you are seeing is not the line you drew but the boundary line for the material.
It is always there but does not have to be used for anything.

I am having the problem all of a sudden but it is NOT router or bit slippage. The Z will suddendly raise by an inch at random times. For goodness sakes, release the specs on the older Sharks so the owners do not have to spend oodles of dollars experimenting.
