Good information, thanks! That 3 inch depth is a maximum for me. It'll probably end up being more like 2.5" but I won't know for sure for a while...

Very interesting. Does the probe have limits on how steep a gradient it can climb? Are there limits on how high it can climb? I assume it will get stuck if it hits a vertical wall. Is that so?

Hmmm, I can't budget it until next year but am very tempted by it. It would sure be nice if the Mako were available into next year. I need to know max cutting depth. In other words, I need to through cut to about 3" depth (in multiple passes). I wonder if the bit clearance on this model will allow t...
