Thanks for everyone's suggestions. Everything is good with the plate settings. As far as mechanical goes you can jog it up and down as far as it will go with no problem. As it starts down to the work, it stops about an inch above it and just chatters like an electric motor single phasing. I've check...

When trying to carve a project the bit does not touch work piece. It zeroes on the touch plate normally. When I run the file the bit starts down, then hesitates and never reaches the piece. It says that it is cutting at -.125 but it is about a half inch above the work. Any ideas would be appreciated...

I have exactly the same problem. I ran 2.0 for about 3 months and had no problems. Two days ago it just quit working. The program says not responding.

I have a similar problem with my Z axis. Mine keeps getting higher and higher. It starts out cutting the wood then each time it raises it gets further away from the workpiece. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
