Re: Adding 15 watt laser

Dutch, I don't, but just purchased, installed and am now using the 7w laser. so far I'm fairly pleased, the 7w is more poweful than I expected. As right now I'm really just running tests to see what it is capable of if you can describe sufficiently what you are looking for I'll give it shot. Also so...

7 WATT LASER MODULE - looking for advice

Hello all, I've ordered the 7 watt laser with the intent to use it to cut veneers, and hope to install and test it this weekend. I've heard that some lasers with lower wattage can cut typical 1/40" veneers just fine, so am expecting this 7 watt to really work well. I requested a recommended feed and...

Re: NEW 7 WATT LASER MODULE

Interesting, I did not think the J-Tech was supplying NWA the laser, I thought they actually were an alternative.
Thank you, I'll do a little more digging on their laser.

Re: NEW 7 WATT LASER MODULE

Hey Tony,
Yeah, I saw that, what I was not sure of is if it is shipping yet? And more importantly, what the real (usable) power of the laser is. I'm sure it will engrave nicely, but will it cut? Inquiring minds would like to know.. :)

NEW 7 WATT LASER MODULE

Has anyone laid their hands on one of these yet? I'm wondering if its shipping and if so is it really working? I'm looking to cut veneers, but 7 watts may not be enough. So I'd like to hear from others if its real yet.
thank you,
Ian

Re: Shark HD4 Going haywire during machining

I too have had issues in the past. One thing I noticed was that if for instance my cut was too aggressive, or the bit was loose or it ran into a hold down it could not cut thru was that the position was lost. So since its effectively relative positioning (meaning it shifts from current x,y,z distanc...

Thank you very much Rick. I tried several other means, and the security settings I think are what are preventing me from opening the links. I tried both the links from Nextwave's email, and of course tried their site.

Thanks again!!

Re: Chess board project - Seahorse Knight

I sure am having trouble with the links. I've tried different computers, and different networks, but I'm using IE. Guess I'll try firefox. Just tried Firefox. Had issues as well, but at least was told why. The certificates (security thing) on nextwave's website appear to be not set right; and Firefo...
