Re: A few of our HS shop projects

Those look great. It looks like your using a plug to power the lights. Do you have a particular supplier that has the best deals? I'm looking for a supplier.

Re: Music Box

Nice job Bob,
I have been drooling over this project since I saw the video in December. I like the way you changed the front using the shark to create some awesome scroll work. Looking forward to hearing it at the meeting. :ugeek:

THE POWER OF SHORT CUT KEYS

I have to admit part of the reason I bought a cnc was to take some short cut. V-carve has many short cut key listed. I recently was designing and discovered a short cut key that was not mentioned in the 'help topic' manual. When you have a vector selected and want that part only to fit the screen, y...

Re: Max feed rate vs tool size vs material type vs...

Depends on the model of shark you have. If you can give an example of the last bit that broke i.e. bit size, feed rate, plunge rate, step over, type of material.... I have lots of experience in breaking bits, but I dont think we are alone. When sid the bit break, in the beginning, middle or near the...

trouble with importing pdf's

I found a rubber band gun scroll saw pdf and wanted to see if its possible to cut it out on my shark. I went through normal processes of importing vectors from a file. closed all open vectors and set up tool paths. The problem I have found is that the parts are a little bigger than the specs on the ...

Is there a possibility to build a fourth axis?

In our shark user meeting in Milwaukee, we have been discussing the idea of making your own actuall "A" axis like nextwave has come out with. Bob the moderator of our meetings and the inventer of "bob's simple 4th axis, has been an inspriration to me and a few other shark users. Lately, we have been...

HAS ANYONE EVER TRIED THIS

Hello folks, I've been using my shark for two years and enjoyed this forum to hone my skills. I recently was playing around with a profile cut, and wanted a faster machine time. I increased the feet rate to 200% with a 1/32" dept of cut. I chose wisely to "air cut" before the real deal, and the mach...

Re: Test Door

nice work, These machines really help when remodeling or making something new. Good job on the door. I just finished a three panel door I bought from a big box store for $5.00 on clearance. I carved in each panel, I'll have pics up soon.
