Re: Edge Profiles

Dan1931, Thanks for the response and I completely agree with using preformed bits as that makes it very simple; but what if the edge I am trying to create doesn't exist in a preformed bit? Thats what I am focused on. I could just use an End Mill bit and cut out the project and then take it to a rout...

Edge Profiles

Next Question: How do you use Aspire 4.5 to create your edges on projects? I have an oval project that I use an End Mill bit to run the perimeter and leave me with a sharp drop off at the edge of my project. It's about 1/2" thick and I would rather create an smooth "Ogee" type edge for my perimeter....

Re: Adding tools to database

Now that I have read a little on how to do it with using just the right side profile and making sure its to scale and highlighting the vector profile as needed by the program when creating profiles of router bits......I have done all the steps to set it up and when I go to create a new bit it looks ...

Re: Rookie Question

That's what i was thinking too. I did find some CNC bits on the ToolsToday website that have edges already created for such end results. Thank you for your time and input. I now have some options to consider....thank you again.

Re: Rookie Question

Let me ask then.....how can one get the fancy edges on signs we all see? I understand you could complete the sign and then take it to a router table to complete the edges but would prefer to let the CNC machine complete the project. Is everyone using Aspire to design the edge's or what? I just got m...

Rookie Question

I just purchased new bits for the CNC/Router and these bits are for doing signs. They are contour bits, Ogee bits but have a bearing on the bottom and I'm not sure how to implement them with my CNC machine as the design will cause the bit to plunge into a new piece of wood and I'm afraid the bearing...

Re: Corsair Prop Hub and Blades?

Bob, that's an excellent image of the prop and the nut but the part that the blades attached to and the prop nut screwed onto is what I am focused on right now. There's a "HUB" that was in place that controlled the pitch of the props in flight. I am wondering if I can import that sketch of the blade...

Re: Corsair Prop Hub and Blades?

I quickly visited your facebook page and reviewed some of the carvings. Were they all created by Aspire? Never used the program. I assume its compatible with the CNC Shark HD model? I will see what that program is all about as opposed to VCarve Pro. I already own Cut3D. I will see if there is a tria...
