Re: Fusion 360 Post-processor
I am a hobbyist woodworker and I purchased the Shark HD3 3 or 4 years ago. I immediately downloaded Vcarve Desktop and have used it many times. Recently, I decided to upgrade to Vcarve Pro and it works for what I do. However, I have never understood all these extensions, such as “.stl,” “.dxf,” etc....

Re: VCarve Desktop Fails to Complete Tool Path
Joe, Thanks. I'll check out the sd card. About the USB port, are you referring to the connection between my computer and the controller? I have not been doing this very long, but on the few occasions that I have run the cnc I have had more than one tool path--changing bits in between runs. It seems ...

Re: Cleaning and greasing
I have used DuPont teflon silicon spray on my table saw for several years. It works great and does not collect dust. I have had my Shark HD 3 for a couple of months and I intend using the same product on it. Avoid anything that collects dust, such as oil or grease.

Resume program at any gcode line
Using a Shark HD 3, is it not possible to stop a program at some point, such as when there is a power failure or when it is necessary to hit "e-stop," and then resume where the program stopped? I have tried everything my puny brain can think of, including copying the gcode to notepad, deleting the l...

Re: VCarve Desktop Fails to Complete Tool Path
I have turned off ALL of the following in the computer I have dedicated to my cnc: anti-virus app, auto update, screen saver, energy saver, sleep mode, and I am operating off-line. Also, I have installed an APC battery backup with power conditioning and surge protection. I wonder if I have forgotten...

VCarve Desktop Fails to Complete Tool Path
I posted this on the Vectric forum and was advised to post it here. I am running VCarve Desktop and a newly purchased Shark HD 3. I have VCD installed on a computer outside my workshop. I have another computer in the workshop dedicated to my cnc. I am trying to carve an image of crossed golf clubs f...
