Awesome, thanks all. I too have been doing a lot of MDF work, which makes a fine mess even with the dust collector hooked up.

I have had my Shark HD3 about 2 months now and I can see some build-up on the slides and ball screws. What does everyone else use to clean everything up nice? Grease? Thanks

Upgraded cooling system for water cooled spindle
Initially just had a reservoir and a 12volt pump. Spindle was steaming hot after 20 minutes. So I built a cooling system that is working flawlessly. Check out the Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR4S_S6 ... e=youtu.be

After using up almost a full sheet of MDF for practice I think I finally got it. Walnut butcher block with maple inlay.

Using the "Bob" method ...I would make small test inlays. I would only change one variable at a time. Fit both halves together, and make a cross section cut to see how deep the inlay is. SWAG.
