Upgraded cooling system for water cooled spindle

Initially just had a reservoir and a 12volt pump. Spindle was steaming hot after 20 minutes. So I built a cooling system that is working flawlessly. Check out the Youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AR4S_S6 ... e=youtu.be

First (Successful???) V-Inlay

After using up almost a full sheet of MDF for practice I think I finally got it. Walnut butcher block with maple inlay.

Re: V-Carve Pro/Shark HD3 depth is off

Using the "Bob" method ...I would make small test inlays. I would only change one variable at a time. Fit both halves together, and make a cross section cut to see how deep the inlay is. SWAG. Not the most analytical method, but it works for my purposes. Bob I have played, and played, then played s...

Why?
(One of my shortest replies ever.)
Bob
Because it's for a butcher block. I can't have the inlay too thin on a surface where people will be chopping.
