spindle won't "pass water"

For the second time I have gotten a spindle that will not cool due to poor coolant circulation. For the first spindle I used a mixture of RV antifreeze and water, and on the present one I used a vinegar/water mixture (Nextwave support instructions) as a coolant. Water pump and line are sealed well f...

Router bit drags in Z slightly

I am experiencing a new problem after several years of Shark HD4 ownership. I set the coordinates X,Y,Z as I have always done. For the past 2 projects the tool will drag (in Z) a bit making a mark in the wood. It is only a couple of thou's deep, but it pisses me off. I can use the Z setting block, o...

Are you having laser and/or other post processors problems???

Having just aquired a 3 watt laser for my HD-4, and downloaded the PP files the way the user manual instructs, I was flumoxxed why I could not load the .tap file to the thumb drive. I kept getting an error message that it was not getting along with the system. I had just also upgraded to Vcarve Desk...

What XY location are you using...and WHY?

Is there any advantage to using the XY setup at a corner rather than at "center mass"? I use center mass, but could be persuaded to change if there is a good enough reason. Thanks....

Clamping an inlay

IMG_2771.JPG I am sure this has been discussed before but I could not find it using the search feature. I have lately tried inlaying with my Shark and have been successful and very happy, EXCEPT when it came to clamping it up while gluing. Then it dawned on me that I have a super clamping system st...

Grave marker suggestionns please

I recently lost my youngest brother, and his wife has asked me to create a wooden headstone on my cnc machine. Oh, Boy! This has me looking for help as I want to explore all the possible scenarios for me to accomplish this. All woods left outdoors will deteriorate whether it is teak, cedar, or whate...

Re: Virtual Zero not Compensating

This is not in regards to your code query, but the first thing that I saw was your failure to use a spoilboard. it scares me think of a pristine machine bed being gouged up with a possible "oops" in coding.
