Y Axis Set Screw

Looks like my Y-axis set screw came loose on HD4. Anything I should know or precautions I should take before I re-tighten it? I read another post about taking the deck off and creating an access hole, but not ready to go to that extreme.

Re: Virtual Zero

I just made a discovery while looking over the manual. Looks like if I use the pendant to set virtual zero (instead of following the prompts on my laptop), I will have the option to use existing points. As I load each tool path into the CNC program on my laptop, it asks me if I want to use virtual z...

Re: Virtual Zero

It will ask you if you like to used the last VZ settings and you answer accordingly. If you did not change bits your z will still be set. if you are carving on a pocketed area your new tool path should have new start point (minus the amount you just took out of that area) this is done in the text o...

Virtual Zero

If I want to use virtual zero on a project, do I have to collect the five data points every time I run a new tool path? Is there a way to collect and store the virtual zero information for the project so that I can recall it for the next tool path?

Re: Receptacle on Pendant for ... what?

For anyone who may be interested, I talked to John with NWA tech support. He said that the jack on the pendant can be used for the touch plate but not the probe. The jack on the front of the controller can be used for either touch plate or probe.

Re: Apps>Touch Plate Calibration vs "Plate"

For anyone who may be interested, I talked to John with NWA tech support. He said that there's essentially no difference. Apps>Touch Plate Calibration and the Plate button on the pendant perform the same function.

Apps>Touch Plate Calibration vs "Plate"

I followed the instructions in the Touch Plate Manual using Apps>Touch Plate Calibration on the pendant. But on the home screen of the pendant on the right hand side, there's a button for "Plate" which appears to take me to the same procedure. I suppose the "Plate" button could be routinely used onc...

Receptacle on Pendant for ... what?

There's a jack receptacle on the controller for the touch plate or touch probe. What is the jack receptacle on the side of the pendant used for? Can the touch plate or the touch probe be plugged into it instead of the controller? Seems like I tried it and it didn't work.

Re: Gantry Height

I figured out my confusion. The assembly instructions in the Owner's Manual say to use the "bottom" three sets of holes for standard operation (which would put the gantry in its highest position by my interpretation.) I later noticed that the assembly instructions in the 4-page Quick-Start Guide say...

Re: New Shark doesn't power up

Problem solved! Where in the instructions does it say that the emergency shut off button is shipped in the off position...or does everybody but me know that  . Thanks, Bob!
