Re: Version 2.05 Quirks

Yep, re-registering brought the Virtual Z option back... maybe that should be a required step in installing a update?

Re: Version 2.05 Quirks

Am I missing something? :!: Since I upgraded to 2.05 I don't seem to have the virtual-zero buttons anymore, and the program does not ask me if I wan to use the previous settings. I checked the web site and I can only find information that I am running the most current version.

Re: 4th axis preview date

Tim, I have both the Carvewright model C and the Shark HD Pro and the new Rotary Jig from LHR handles 1" - 4.25" diameter stock and 5.5" to 13" in length. it's tough to scale against what's in the photo you posted, but it looks like the spiral in the jig is about 1.25" in diameter and there isn't mu...

Re: 4th axis preview date

I love the look of the power spindle head but have a concern over the max diameter size of the wood that can be worked wth it bolted to the table on a SharkPro HD.

I'd be interested in the Spindle Runout on this new chuck from Rockler compared to the Think & Tinker Precise Collet, if anyone picks one up.

Re: Apps, Pi, and remote desktop.

I'm curious as to what sort of remote actions you were considering that do not require a physical presence to load a piece of wood or a new bit inthe machine. I wouldn't even feel comfortable starting the next object in a nested grouping if, for some reason you needed to created seperate TAP files f...

Re: working with metal

Wolffie,

What size and type of bit were you using and what were the speeds settings you used for the different materials?

Inquiring minds want to know! :D

Re: Probe Help?

If you have the new version of Aspire, create a Zero Plane under the Modeling menu. If Ver 3.5 reate a rectangle the size of the design and create a flat plane at zero depth to get rid of the little bubbles around the edge. I will add screen shots when I get home tonight.

Re: CNC shark computer needs

I found a flexible washable keyboard works very well in the shop, along with a diswasher safe mouse to keep the dust out. I only use the system in the shop to run the Shark interface and do not use it to do design and layout, so the keyboard and mouse are adequate. http://www.notebooknerds.com/roll-...
