Re: Post processors

Is it right angles only? This job is already set to run at 200ipm. I don't think the Shark can do much better than that.

Post processors

I had a similar post about this on the Vectric forum. I am looking for ways to reduce the carve time on some 3d jobs I have been doing. At the suggestion of Tonydude, I tried the post processor for 3d pieces (3d contour) as opposed to the standard one (newarcs_inch) due to the differences in the G64...

Re: 1/16" endmill

I use it in MDF quite a bit and run it at 100ipm and depth of 1/32". It's a single flute bit that I got from MLCS.

Re: Shark setups Gallery

I see another vote for a Shark tank. Makes me think I should try this setup in my new shop once it gets built. I like you are using the exhaust from the shopvac!

Does the string in the second pic hold the door shut? If so, could rare earth magnets to the trick?

Re: Shark setups Gallery

Anyone else want to show off their setup?

Don't be shy. I have a dryer duct connected to mine with a big rubber band holding it up.

Re: Shark setups Gallery

I debated building a tank. My biggest reason was for cutting materials that were bigger than the table. However, that has happened maybe twice. Second reason was for catching fine dust particles at the source as opposed to getting airborne. At this time I could go either way. I am thinking about bu...

Re: Shark setups Gallery

My new shark tank. I put a dust chute on one end and then used a length of 3" PVC with a slot as an air intake (the cabinet is as airtight as I could make it). The PVC can be rotated to direct the airflow up/down as needed. The slot is currently cut so the cross section of it is equal to the cross ...
