I contacted Mr. Owens at Next Wave Automation at this email address. He was extremely helpful. I hope by giving out this address I don't upset anyone. (towens@nextwaveautomation.com)

Re: Drill bit adapter for colt
Thank you guys for the ideas. For what its worth I am cutting carbon fiber frames for my R/C Electric Helicopter. The Heli frame is two pieces of carbon fiber bolted togather. So, I thought the drill bit idea would simplify matters for drilling nine mount holes. Again, thanks for the infomation. Bil...

Re: Where is everyone from?
Hello everyone. My forum name is Chips, in the real world I'm Bill. A few years ago the wife and I relocated from the West Coast to wonderful Carriere, Mississippi, which is about an hours drive north of New Orleans. Talk about small town U.S.A. Anyway, after building two small CNC machines from pla...

Re: z will not move just makes noise
Hi Ed,
I don't think so. I have limited electronic skills. I did look inside the controller box for any obvious problems. To my untrained eye everything looked okay. Nextwave rep suggested I send it back for service. I hope the turn around is quick. I am getting anxious.

Re: y will not move just makes noise -- update
My problem was a bad Y port on the controller. That gives me peace mind I thought I was entering CNC Hell. Anyway, thanks to all who offered help and suggestions.

Re: z will not move just makes noise
Thanks Ed
I was a little confused. It's the y axes causing the problem. I checked for packing material and everything looks okay. But, I will recheck everythng again, before I call Rockler or Nextwave.

z will not move just makes noise
I need some advice. Just finished setting up my new Shark Pro Plus. Nice looking machine. Here is my issue. I am using Windows XP. The X and Z work fine. The Y will not move. All I get when jogging the Y is a grambling sound. I reloaded the drivers and updated MS.netframe work 3.5. Any suggests.

Re: No controller fan
Thank you for the quick reply and info. I guess I need to read all the posts and get up-to-date with this unit. So much to learn and so little time in a day.

No controller fan
Just received my CNC Shark Pro Plus. Spent a few minutes reading the Instruction Manual. On page 2 it talks about the controller box fan. (Quote: Make sure upon powering that the fan is working inside the controller box. You will hear it and see it spinning. If the fan fails for any reason turn off ...
