Finally getting around to it (Shark Pro)

Life has its own schedule for everyone, hence five years on (health problems etc.) I get back to things.

Gene, My suggestion: Arrange with the store to cut you a sample part, be prepared to bring your own cutter and the file on a memory stick. BTW how smooth is smooth, how precise is precise? Any old time I wanted to test a milling/copying machine I used a block of alu. It will show every little glitch...

John, On how to test/adjust the machine (pretty well any one of this type!) First you need the Y-axis as parallel as possible to the table. Move the gantry end to end, should be a straight line with a slight dip going through the centre. Shim either end if necessary. Same routine for the X-axis. To ...
