Re: Virtual Zero Unlimited

Any update on time frame for Virtual Zero Unlimited / Ready 2 Control?
Dec 1 has come and gone. I am interested in the new panel.
3.0 Is lacking a lot of stuff. I guess They want all the bugs out before release. Can’t blame them!

Re: Pendant

I just got a reply from NWA and got it working . Check the setup menu on the pendant and check the model number. It should be 4004 for the HD4. I bet it's got the default 100 for the piranha FX, it has a different z screw. Touch the number to get the number keys to display. I hope this helps someone...

Pendant

I have upgraded to the pendant control and 3.0 Control panel. If I jog 1” with the X and Y it travels 1” But when I jog 1” with the Z it travels 2”. Humm Has anyone had this issue or know of a fix? Also, how do I get to the “location area” Screen and how do you jog by set increments? 40BC6956-9FFE-4...

Re: Router mount clamp

You could make your own. I made mine out of scrap Corian. You could probably use plywood or MFB.
Make it as thick as you need to, mine might be a little overkill

I ordered one from China 5 months ago. Still hasn’t arrived so I made my own out of some fittings and scrap plastic

Re: Z axis doesn't hold when power is off

I have the same issue. With the extra weight, try rigging rubber bands or weak springs to counter the weight. The stepper motor may thank you also when it is pulling up. Go easy though, you want to fight gravity but not work against the stepper motor pulling down. If anyone thinks this is a bad idea...

Re: Spoil board.

Rod, I use strips of mfd like you are talking about with countersunk holes for the 1/4” nylon bolts and nuts. I occasionally mill a few hundredths to flatten or true up the top. If a bit hits the bolt, no problem

Spoil board

Just a tip you may even know. I used dollar store foam board with double stick tape to cut out a 3.65" outside by 3.0 " inside ring out of 1/4" cast acrylic. No tabs and clean cut and didn't have to cut into my real spoil board. The acrylic was scrap from the dust shoe I made (but didn't use on this...
