Re: Software Question
Hello Joe While on the gimp subject, my daughter uses gimp for school art projects. I have seen some of her wireframe immages and they looked great for CNC. Joe, how do you use gimp to help with your CNC projects? I was also looking to adolbe and coral, but after seeing my daughters work, now im thi...

Bosch vs DeWalt vs Ridgid for the Sharks
Happy Holidays to all There has been some posts about the Bosch having a short lifespan. Some posts about the DeWalt 611 (a new member to the palm router lineup) and some may be looking into the Ridgid from HD. I would like to hear from others in this forum, on this subject. For example: likes, disl...

Re: Life of Bosch Router
Hello Bobby Aye, good discussion indeed. I have my Dewalt mounted so the cord is to the left and the switch to the right. I find that the tool changes are the most easy on the DeWalt. What is awsome about inserting the bits is they fit snug, you can take your hand away to tighten the collet and they...

Re: Find owner to do some work

I do own a shark, and your Id name is the same as my neighbors who are due to be married soon. If they are located in N.J. then that would be them and I would be more than happy to give you a hand. Give me a PM if thats them please.

Re: Life of Bosch Router
Bobby For the most part I agree with everything you posted. I use to build and fly electric RC planes. Voltage is a verry important factor, along with materals, type of mags, coil and coil winding, arbaturs, brushes etc. I also worked with many brushless motors up to I think it was 64v DC. I would b...

Re: Pro Plus Touch Probe Insights
Hello Joe I was wondering, when you get a chance. Could you describe/exsplain how the probe (tip movement z axis) works in conjunction with the Shark z axis? How far does the tip move and how much of a travle distance in the Z axis can be scanned accuratly? I am interested in purchasing one. But I a...
Re: 4th Axis
We are working on it and have been shooting for the first of the year. We were going to have Vectric to go over some software issues we were seeing but they delayed until the end of Jan so I would say toward the end of Feb would be a good timeframe. Hello Tim Would the 4th axis be a retrofit for th...

Re: Life of Bosch Router
Happy Holidays to all HJ The dust collection for the DeWalt 611 only works for the base that you would have to remove to fit the router into the shark. I dont see any way that the dust collection system could be modified to be used with the shark. As far as finding one, I have not looked yet. Mine w...
