Win 8 usb driver support
Did anyone try the Windows 8 already? I upgraded to windows 8 and the drivers for shark don't work anymore. (I know the official date is in October but I got my hands on a retail version already.) It does not recognize the controller, maybe there is a work around that some one knows? Thanks, David

Re: Pro to HD upgrades
For now I'm just enjoying my last upgrade and will slowly collect parts for y axis. Just want to share that Dewalt 611 router is awesome. It is so quiet that I assumed it's running at lower rpm's then the sound it makes. Also the LED light on it is very cool too. One think I don't like that it does ...

Re: Pro to HD upgrades
Was testing today and I'm getting more consistent cuts. When cutting a packets I don't see the lines in the packet as I used to. I also changed from bosch to dewalt router and like how quiet and strong it is. After running multiple tests today with new router and now fully supported rails on x axis ...

Re: Pro to HD upgrades
Yea, the z axis router enclosed was a pain to re-assemble but it all finally done. The whole upgrade is very easy and the biggest issue for me was getting correct screws, had to made 3 trips to home depot. I'll update the parts list. I didn't cut anything yet as I'm waiting for my Dewalt router to c...

Pro to HD upgrades
Ok, today my long time awaiting upgrade started. I think there are 3 stages to get the Pro to be running as it should. (Again big thanks to Bob for shearing his knowledge and helping me on this.) Stage 1, get the table level and supported in the middle if oem blue table is used. They are very strong...

Re: Shark Pro Plus HD support rails
It would be nice if someone could share pic's of their HD Shark rails. If I only know that it would have so much flex I would not go for the standard model... Now just have to try to fix what I have. Here are some pictures of the parts to upgrade it. They are getting installed on Tuesday I hope time...

Shark Pro Plus HD support rails
Can anyone share some pictures of the Shark pro plus HD of the gantry support rails? I just can't find any pictures on the web that would display the support rails. The HD model supposed to be more solid and totally different then the Pro Plus but from the pictures can't tell much. I do notice there...

Re: Machining Plastic
I cut some plastics and it all depends on the bit. In my try and error I use O down cut flute .125 and have my colt set on 2 for some what clean cut. Feed rate 100 ipm or more. What I notice the best is fast feed rate and about 20k rpm's do the trix. Then for the edges use some 220 sand paper follow...

Re: table for shark pro
I check the Rockler website and they have two kinds of rails to build an aluminum table. (2-1/4'' and 3")
Is the 3" better because is wider and I guess I would need 8 of those to cover the table?
Thanks!
Dave
