SS is very hard to cut. .010 would probably need to be sandwiched between 2 pieces of wood or this thin material would climb up the drill bit or endmill. You would use very small eed rates on the drilling and milling cutterpaths. I know this from being a tool and die maker for 35 years. Pete

Re: offsetting a Cut3d image
Thanks Tim I did not know that. The stuff I create in v carve if moved or resized needs to be recalculated so I just asssumed the import from cut 3d would be the same. I guess it is just habbit for me. Pete

Re: offsetting a Cut3d image
When you import the file to v-carve so can set your material size there then move the file you imported from 3d cut to where you need it. Then you can add rout text. You will then have to double click the files from v-carve in the tool path list (upper right hand side of the screen under toolpaths) ...

Re: Converting a .tap to a .toolpath template?
Once you have created the file and saved it in cut 3d you can then open v-carve, set your material sizes then import the file using import vectors from a file, (the second from the right at the top folder) making sure the 0,0,0 is the same as the 3d cut file. Then you can add text or outside shape e...

Re: Is Anyone Cutting Alum.
That aluminiun is pretty thin and will bend easily. Have you tried to sandwich it with wood and cut it then? Pete

Re: Noobie question: VCarve image is in "negative"
Rather than selecting the whole image you may have to select certain things you want to carve at a time. It may take more than one program to cut what you want. Pete

The run from sd card will not be enabled till you load g-code and the computer runs thru the reading cycle. Pete
