Remaining material in simple letter cut

Post by DUTCH »

Well, here I am first time on the FORUM
My first attempt with my SHARK II was rather uneventful but when I cut letters [in profile] using EZCARVE I had some wood remaining. I was using a 1/8" end mill cutting some letters about 1/4" in section. Couldn't figure out how to cut the very thin remaining inner portion.
I wanted to use the 1/8 bit to make the insid corners as crisp as possible.
I would also like to know if there is an easy way to carve a bowl?
Thanks
