Interesting and Free 3D Modeling Package

Post by jeb2cav »

I've seen interest about 3D modeling tools over time, and while I primarily use Aspire, I also dabble in others. I recently learned about a program called 'Hexagon 2'. This is a 3D modeling tool that enables you to create things from scratch. I'm still working my way through the tutorials, but at face value this is much simpler for me to get some very powerful results than sketchup. I'm not saying this is better - just describing how it's going for me.

It is currently free - really. You do need to create a user account and purchase it ($0.00) in order to get a serial number to fully activate it. Once you complete the purchase, in a few hours you'll find a serial number when you look in 'My Account', 'My Serial Numbers'.

You can find this at http://www.daz3d.com, look under the product list.

I'm working through tutorials at http://www.geekatplay.com/hexagontutorials/begining.php
