vector tolerances

Post by jimbob45 »

How can I change my vector tolerances from the 0.0002 to 0.02 ? I need to do this so it will accept the file ?
For info I am trying to use a dxf file for clock gears but tolerances are set too close for the program to accept.
Thanks

Just to clarify, are you saying that the dxf has sections of lines and curves that you can't join together because of the tolerance of the join function will not close the gaps and join them?

I try to generate my dxfs with polylines that are a single continuous line whenever possible.

The join tolerance is adjustable once the dxf is imported into the vectric software. I also make a lot of small parts in wood and aluminum, (like gears etc). If you would like post a dfx, we can take a look at it and see why it may not be importing well.
