now that would be great...

I would like to have a tone when the touchplate is successfully touched to the bit. If I turn my computer screen so it won't be hit by wood particles, I can't see it when I check the touchplate connection.

I am not sure I understand this completely.
Is yours going to be available to Shark owners?

All I did was take the existing NWA v2.0 User Interface, and rearrange it. After some suggestions, I added a few more features.
The Guts of the program is Owned and Programmed by NWA. All mine illustrated, was another's view of their screen (User Interface).
+++
I have another thread where I am constructing a Program that generates specialized ToolPaths for parts that I make.

Hope this helps clarify what I attempted here.

Actually I'm quite please with the improvements and changes of the 2.0 control panel. Having used the earlier version, having the visual confirmation that I even have the right tap program loaded is a great comfort. Also something you may not be considering is that everyone has different situations, different operating systems, different screen size etc. When a company comes out with something new they have to work with a wide range of users, not just the ideal one for a small group of people. My situation is that I use a small Acer netbook computer with a 9.xx" screen and what you present is great if you have all the real estate in the world but not so cool with a small screen. And realistically one you gain the confidence of running your machine, I find myself doing 95% of the control from the remote USB keypad (with user programmable keys). I jog, set up, and zero the bit settings, start the carve and never go to the computer after I load the g-code. All that said, let us know when your control panel comes out, I'd like to give it a try.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
I am keenly aware of the Screen sizes out there. One way to resolve that issue, is to dynamically resize the various components on the screen when you launch the program. I have done that on more than one occasion during my design and programming days (daze?).
As I have stated before in this thread, this is simply a design and never will be offered for anyone. Unless NWA adopt some of these thoughts into -their- existing design and code.
Thanks
