Virtual Zero

Post by csclaser »

Has anyone used this yet "Shark Control Panel 2.0 w/Virtual Zero and Touch Plate Bundle" I am considering it to more closely control Z height. I have been experiencing issues with both Z slipping at the router clamp and inconsistent part to bit height (machining depth). I am considering the Virtual Zero upgrade, in conjunction with an aluminum router clamp "CSCH003-AL" on ebay, to alleviate my Z height woes.

I have both on my Mako, and would not do without them. Both are really an improvement.

How accurate would you say the touch plate is? What does the new controller have other than a virtual display and the variable Z zero capability?
