I made a file in v8.0 I saved it, but when I tried to open it, a window came up that said that , this file was written by a later version of the program. to read
this file you will need the later version. The file was written by version vcarve pro 8.0. Anybody know what I may have done wrong????? This is the first time I have tried to open a file made with v8.0

Make sure you are trying to open with v8 if you still have older version on computer you default opening program might be the older one. One thin to try is open v8 and then open that program from v8

How can I install vcarve pro 8 in to the open with program??? i'am using XP When I try to open vcarve8 under browse it just list fonts an etc.

In the open with program how can I change vcarve pro 8.1.3.1 too vcarve pro 8.020 that is what the file was written with?????? thanks gene

8.1.3.1 should be (8.01.3 )which was created around 3-15-15......

Richt click on file in explorer and then open with then select the right v8 program.

I hoped everything would go alright after I installed v8.0.2.0 .... WRONG...which was 8-11-2015 That is when I installed it...... I made a file using v8.0.20 today, 8-14=2015`tried to open file from where I saved it, a window came up saying,,,,
This file was written by a later version of the program.. How late is later I just installed it....... So I went into, (open with ), found vcarve pro clicked on it nothing worked...So I clicked on properties
then clicked on browse, at the end of the list was 7.0 ,,,7.5,,, 8.0... So I clicked on 8.0 and all that came up was a list starting with fonts,icons went down to wn32 ,clicked on it, another list came up with
8.0 wich a icon, I hovered over it and it said 8.0.1.3 was created on 3-24-2015........Where 8.0.2.0 (of which was supposed been created in June). not in any list I can find.

Kevink18 Thanks for trying to help. when I open open with and open vcarve 8.0 it does not list any other vcave pro programs.

Yes,, but it will not load to the controler .
