Help please......cutting air

Post by Harleymike »

I recently upgraded to VCarve Pro 8 with CNC Shark CP V1.6........Everything I load and try to cut never makes it into the wood, cuts air just above. I'm saving the files as CNCShark-USB Arcs (Inch) (*.tap).....I have double checked all my settings and followed the tutorials. Any suggestions are welcomed......I will try anything at this point.

Thanks

Have you done a Control Software update check to see if you are running the latest version for your type of CNC machine?

Are you running with virtual zero or using paper to set the z (height)?
If virtual zero have you checked the VZ setup as to what thickness is being used in file . should be a round.375''

Thanks for the reply's....everything is updated. It seems to only happen on older files before i upgraded to Pro-8. Everything I create new works fine. I use paper to set Zero :?:

Thanks....Mike
