Profiling

Post by Cal Hunter »

We make toy cars to donate. I am trying to profile the wheel wells and get a fault message I can't figure out. See the attachment.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

You must find and close the open vector before you can proceed. Unless that particular vector is to remain an open vector ignore and proceed as the requester states.

Not able to help further unless you post .crv file so that we here can evaluate.

Cal,
Do what Michael said...Just connect the ends of the open wheel area with a straight line and you will have a closed vector. Then use the pocketing tool to carve out the well to the depth you want. You can still do the profile cut of the rest of the vehicle using the existing profile toolpath.
