Shark HD with extension table

Post by tidge409 »

Wondering if anyone is using the Shark HD with the extension table available from Wood Werks. http://www.woodwerks.com/cnc-c-1073.htm ... 0l21q0vjl7
Their site claims this is an exclusive only from there store? Would love having the extra 29 inch length. Is this available as an add on ?

Supposedly, it is available to have NWA retrofit your machine with the extended table. I believe there are some on here who have purchased the necessary things and did it themselves. You have to contact NWA and have them cost it out to you individually, it is hard to get a price for the conversion on here. I tried to get info on doing it to mine but I never got a response. Shoot them an email or call them and maybe you can get the info.

Woodwerks is one of those authorized Rockler resellers/associates - whatever the right word is. As such, they too can distribute/sell Sharks. Woodwerks has chosen to also carry in their catalog the extended bed version as well. Rockler apparently has chosen not to carry that in their catalog.

The price for the extended bed I believe varies depending on the Shark model - Pro Plus vice HD - and because these are such low volume (Joe talking here), component prices at the time. Then there is the shipping to deal with - unless you can drive to Toledo, OH and drop off your old base and pick up the new one.

You can email support@nextwaveuatomation.com and request a price and I believe shipping estimate (return shipping to you).

It is not a retrofit per se as the table is completely replaced.

Two posts where folks have done this on their own are:

NextWaveAutomation also looks like they are selling the same extended table on their site. http://shop.nextwaveautomation.com/shop ... ?itemid=86
