That's the first time I've seen a Shark on life support.

Shhh....here's a picture of the IV drip reservoir in a freezer 4 feet away. Don't tell the FBI! 8-)

Hey...they said keep it cold...they didn't say HOW cold...

Yes, overkill is a verb, and I do it everyday...some days more often than common sense might dictate :D.

Thom,
This machine sure does provide lots of opportunities for using your thinker!
Your reservoir reminds me of a Red Green solution. http://www.redgreen.com/ The only thing missing is duct tape.
Thanks for the post.

Very much so! Cheers, Bob.

I guess it's not happening on the Pirahna. Not enough Z travel.
I will hold this idea for the next CNC, probably the Shark HD Extended.

Phil,
You could scale the idea down to a size that would be able to engrave pens.
Kind of limited though.

I finally finished my 4th axis. Took me just under a year!
Completed test
Completed test
I've only run a couple tests on it so far, but it turned out well. I posted more pictures and a couple videos here: http://perryprojects.blogspot.com/2017/ ... -axis.html

Perry,
Slick version of the fourth axis! Pretty simple isn't it?
It's obvious that you gave a lot of thought to this project and made some very effective modifications.
Nice videos too.
I look forward to seeing what you make with this.

I tried some 3D carving using the 4th axis. It requires a bit of math to get the aspect ratio correct, but it turned out really well.

I posted the same video in the videos section. Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the completed project on this PC or I would post that here also.

Perry,
Cool dodecahedron!
(I'm not even sure if I spelled it right.)
