Well, no, I can't fix the obsession. But I can help your design with this gadget for balancing clock hands (or anything else). Using the gadget is simple:

• Highlight the object to want to balance
• Rotate the object so it's balancing left-to-right
• Move the object so its pivot is at x=0
• Run the gadget

The gadget tells you how balanced your object is. It also tells you the total area, which may even be useful when you're not creating clocks.
