custom styli for the probe

Hi,

I would like to extend the length of my probe to be able to safely probe an object that is 3 inches deep.
It must be able to probe all the way to the table and quite suddenly up to the top without hitting the collet.

I found probe styli here:

They have a very wide selection.
The data on this one says it has an M4 thread mount. Looks just like the mount on the probe I bought with my Shark Pro HD.
Where could I look to find what kind of thread mount is on the probe I bought from Rockler?

If all else fails take it to Home Depot and use their setup for identifying the threads.
