Problem with scan probe

Post by Thermoman »

I have question:
Is the touch probe temperature sensitive? It seems the probe hangs up off of the surface ( hi limits) for sometime while doing and X axis which is the longest scan (21 inches). Any ideas as to why or what I can do to correct. The size of the scan is X = 21" x Y = 9" . Should I reverse axis?
To clear this hangup I push up on the probe and it starts measuring the surface of the item again till it hangs up again. For sure it will not cover the item on the long run, like in to the night.
Having a problem getting a good clean scan.

Having that issue myself(ever find a solution?). Not only that.......The files that it creates are empty. VCarve 8 and cut 3d both throw an error stating that there is not a model in the file. When opened in notepad the only thing in the file is the name I set for the file.
