Tap file

Post by mdweber45 »

We have a new Shark that we just got set up. We followed all the documentation we received with the machine. We used the probe and found zero for x,y,z. We created a sign in Vcarve and saved it as a .tap file on a usb drive. We installed the USB drive in the controller and it gave an error message. It said USB not supported, press to continue. The screen when blank and when pressed, the boxes that it has on start up come back. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Click on board index above, then click view active topics, then click return to advanced search Type in "USB not recognized" and you will find plenty of threads covering this topic I am positive you will find the answer you are looking for there!!!

You don't mention what machine you have

If the new Shark you bought is a HD4, then you need to plug the usb stick into the pendant and not the control box, otherwise it will not work!
The pendant will show the file on the usb stick. All you have to do is select it and press run. The machine will do the rest.
