What bits do you recomend for a biggenner?

Hello all. This is my first post here, but I have been following the site for a few months now. I purchased a Shark Pro Plus and love it. I do a lot of work in 3/4" walnut but I can’t find bits to give me fine line cut depths at that depth. I cut out state panels and I lose a lot of detail on some of my states because of the bit width. Cutting out the Puget Sound area of Washington State for example, I have had to bypass it and cut it out on a scroll saw. Any suggestions? What would be a good set of fine detail bits for me to get and from whom? Any info would be great.

Hi Bob - a good post on this topic - at least to help get you thinking about what you want to use the Shark for and what you'll need bit wise is - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=750. You might also look at the bits used in some of the Vectric tutorials, as well as the Shark and Vectric forums to help determine what you want to add now and in the future.

With regard to obtaining "scroll saw" like edges - a great method was posted by Bob in this thread - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=545. I don't know if will work for your Puget Sound case as is, but it might - or might with a little modification.

I have went thu a lot of bits until I started using tne In Grough bits it is a one sighted blade and is attached to a holder with a small allen headed screw the blades can be changed with a lot of profiles. It can throw all of the wood out of the blade and no clogging the blade stay quit cool not so hot a router bit.
