There is no simple gauge for this operation in the building of an "acoustic" guitar. The back of a guitar is typically arched in both direction and the sides of a guitar are shaped a bit like a woman. If you think about it.. the sides will be a taller at the waist then at the upper and lower bouts, that's if the guitar back.. is curved in both directions. There would be a valley in the back, at the waist otherwise.

Thanks for the file...I will give it a try. This radius, is used when making the sides of guitars and other string intsruments. I know that these can be bought commercialy, but I like to think us DIY woodworkers have the No Cut's No Glory thing when attempting to make those jig's for better woodworking.
