Shark Pro Maintenance
Can anyone tell me where I can find any recommended maintenance procedures for the Shark Pro such as lubrication of the guide rails, etc..
Re: Shark Pro Maintenance
Generally just a good wipe down after you are done for the day. But you will need to spray some silicon or lithium spray on the lead screws and rods now and again to provent buildup.
Re: Shark Pro Maintenance
Years ago I worked with scales, the old type not electronic, ane we had a type of "oil" for the "dashpots" to keep the scale from bouncing.
This oil would stay in the "dashpot" for years and not "gum" or thicken in any way. It is an oil and this is what I use but it may be hard to find.
If your interested, try older scale repair companies (Hobart & Toledo Scales are a good place to start).

P.S. I put a bit of oil on a clean rag and wipe down the rods and screws then do it again to apply a clean film on them.
