Well, I am just hours from receiving my new HD machine and think I have my first project just about ready. However I have some pocked cuts and my .250 spiral up cut bit isn't going to arrive for several days yet. What is the experience with using standard carbide tipped router bits such as a .250 strait dado bit to do pocket cuts with. Will it handle the same feed rates as a spiral cutter or does it need to be slowed down or pass depth reduced?
Not sure I will be cutting wood by tomorrow night, but it won't be because I am not trying. Machine was 100 miles away 2 hours ago LOL
