3d Carving imported to V Carve

Where can I find info on importing 3d carving to V carve? I know I have read this on the forum, but I cannot find it...

I'm not sure that you can import a 3d model, only a .3cv file.

My bad, I work across several platforms where 3D refers to CAD files and sometimes forget most of the people here only work one where 3D = Vectric.
