Thanks for the help. I am trying to figure out the math for chip load!

So, From what I read my chip load should be .008. with MDF, I am running my feed rate at 100 inches per minute and the router dial at 6 (35,000 RPM) According to my research, I should lower it all the way down to 1 (16,000RPM) . I have the Pro Plus which is capable of 200 inches per minute. So, if I crank up my feed rate to 200 ipm, my chip load is higher than recommended chip load size at a

Is that right?

I just wanted to jump in and tell a bit about the type of wood I use use, I have had my shark for 1yr and been wook with 1/4 Baltic Birch Plywood the cheap stuff good on one side. Making 3d photo graghics, wooden gear clocks. The birch as you get deeper in the layes of wood changes color due to the direction of the layers, also hard wood with the IN-GROOVE insert blades they are sharp and last a long time.
