Switching X and Y axis on the Shark Mako
I have been reading some of the forum posts on switching the x and y axis. I would like to do my project layout and carving with the y axis in the horizontal position and the x axis in the vertical position which is just the opposite as shown on the Vectric V-Carve layout screens. I have a Shark Mako which has a slanted gantry that does not allow rotating the gantry 180 degrees and then switching the x and y cables at the controller. I'm not following why other users rotated the gantry (something to do with mirror imaging?) 180 degrees. Is just switching the cables good enough or is this not going to work?
