you could use a smaller fuse if you wanted extra protection. Make sure it would be a fast blow fuse.
Re: Control Box Fuse Lesson Learned
I went through this a few months ago. The bearings in my router seized. So I called a bunch of different places, and finally ended up at Radio Shack and purchased a couple of fuses. They were quite expensive ($5 each) so I also ordered a package of replacements from NWA. Now that I have lots of fuses on hand, I'll never need another one.

Yep, that's the "Murphy's Law" syndrome. If you didn't have any or couldn't find them, you are likely to need one five times, but if you have five spares to make it through the worst scenarios, you will never need one again. Murphy's Law (at least one of several): Anything that can go wrong.... WILL!

Grainger carries the fuse in stock in their stores or on-line.

We have gotten them from MPJA as well but they are also expensive when they put in shipping.
But it is another source besides granger and our website.

Got Amazon that I suggested early on for $1.97 plus $3.88 for 5 fuses
