Hi All !
Does anybody have any good electric guitar body files? (That they have actually used on the Shark)
I would trade curly, or quilted, or spalted maple drop top sets for some electric body files and instructions. (any body style). (The instructions would be inmportant...right down to the bits we should use....we (my wife Christina and I), are cnc roookies).
We have been producing instrument wood commercially for the last 10 years (THIS IS NOT A COMMERCIAL...we are out of that business now...when the recession hit, outfits like Gibsons and PRS put a moratorium on their wood ordering, and all the bigger producers entered our "small custom builder" market. Things got bad pricewise for us, so we left and got into something we had been experimenting with for years...wood stabilizing...whole different market. (woodstabilizer.com) But.... we do have some of our wood inventory left, and while we won't sell it, (it is for us to play with ourselves!), we WILL trade some of it for cnc files and stuff like that!!!
Though we have years of wood production experience (We had a sawmill and still have a shop full of big equipment), my wife Christina and I are absolute cnc ROOKIES! The Shark Pro Plus is our first CNC!
Here is a pic of a guitar we had a customer build for us with our own wood. (This too was a trade. We gave him the wood for 2 guitars, one of which he built for us) (My 11 yr old daughter (pictured here) is a player....I am just a wannabe!)

Re: Anybody doing electric guitar bodies?
I'm the creator of the guitar on the vectric forums with the quilted maple top. I also create a video series that instructs you how to create the guitar all the way from modeling in Aspire to final cutout on your CNC machine. If you are interested you can take a look at the videos on http://www.rmgvideos.com
