3D carving

Post by hdtheater »

I am working on a 3D project and looking for the right type of finishing bit. Would that be a ball nose bit for that? Anyone recommend a good size to use?

Thanks,

Eric

Most of the stuff I do is finished or cut with an .125 ball nose, although I have a .0625 I find it slow with out an increase measure of detail.

Which supplier did you get that from? The smallest the Rockler site has is only .25" with a .25" shank.

Hi Eric,

A good answer on this topic from a few weeks ago can be found here - http://www.cncsharktalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=227.

Another good source of suppliers and tool data can be found here - http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectric/ ... ooling.htm
